About Us
We're Vermillion River Rafting, and we've been a rafting company here in Oglesby, IL, since 1996. Family-owned and operated, we are the only white river rafting tour in Illinois, and we offer white water kayaking, beginner, intermediate and advanced rafting, fun summer activities, and much more. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Utica, LaSalle, Peru, Morris, and surrounding areas. We had a blast rafting as two adults and one 8 year old. Making reservations is difficult due to the river water levels being so dependent on weather so we called the morning we intended to go. Water was 4.5’ deep per Ruth, the owner. She was sweet and also served as the transportation to drop off our car at the end of the rafting route. There are two minor falls/rapids and lots of time to watch for bald eagles. The best part? The unexpected treat of carp jumping at the bottom of each rapid, especially the one that jumped in our boat. We made some core memories.

Fun time...be sure to check on river levels by calling ahead. Takes about 3-4 hrs for the trip. Would definitely recommend.
